Barrel Making
All our new barrels are made using only the best chopper lump tubes that are made locally to our specification.
A range of chopper and sleeving tubes are kept in stock.
A five year apprenticeship at Purdeys' and 20 years of barrel making experience goes into making them absolutley identical to the old unserviceable barrels. The new barrels are machined and fitted in by our top London action filer. We then see the gun through to the finish including proofing, engraving, and blacking. We have a stock of ribs for any type of gun and will make one offs for any requirement. Prices start from £6,000.00 inc vat.

We also make new barrels to grace the guns of some of the most prestigious gunmakers in the UK. Our skill and craftsmanship is unsurpassed and relied upon throughout the trade. Barrels are filed up by hand using traditional strikers to within .001" - .003" of concentricity.
The lumps are silver soldered and ribs are soft soldered.
